Curricullum:

Academic work is at the heart of every school. IMSA has developed a broad based and challenging curriculum and co-curricular activities designed to meet the needs of each scholar whilst preparing them to live and work in a rapidly changing world.

IMSA offers ICSE/ISC syllabus
IMSA has applied and recognition is pending for American syllabus

The curriculum is under constant review by Academic Council, providing flexibility and the possibility for innovation that is necessary to both maintain the highest standards and to benefit each scholar to the full.

A balance is maintained between the needs of the individual scholar and the demands of the society, universities, industry, business and the professions.

IMSA is the first school in India where concepts of the lesson are explained through various multimedia and real life based applications. Most of the classes are conducted through field trips.

During Pre Kindergarten and Kindergarten years, the emphasis is upon fundamental literacy and numeracy with a strong bias towards Montessori teaching methods.

Children are taken on Nature Walks to learn from interactions with Nature and have better understanding of proper balance in life.

In the elementary years (6 to 10yrs of age), emphasis continues to be placed upon these essential ingredients with the addition of a broad and balanced curriculum.

The majority of the lessons are taken by the class teachers, but the sciences, modern languages, technology, art, music and sport are taught by specialist teachers from the senior faculty.

Once scholars join the main body of the senior academy (from 9th grade on), they are offered a broad pattern of academic work and research projects, which goes beyond the requirements of the National and International Curriculum.

Academic progress is closely monitored and each individual scholar's efforts and achievements are graded and discussed on monthly basis by the entire faculty.

Students are actively involved in seminars and power point presentations. IMSA has 6 computer projector seminar halls. IMSA has more than 100 multimedia computers, which are connected through Intra Net. Biology dissections, physics and Chemistry experiments are done over the computers before they are conducted in the laboratories.

IMSA is the first school in India to have Video Conferencing facilities to USA. Classes are conducted by USA teaching faculty for Students at IMSA from time to time.

There is a firm belief within the academy that "expectation is everything" and the best is expected from every scholar.Disappointment is rare.

The academy is aware of the difficulties that Dyslexia can cause and takes whole academy approach to the problem.Z
