Michelin’s unique experience and relentless focus on innovation makes it the technical partner of choice for many top manufacturer and independent teams in motorsports. Michelin has an outstanding record in motorsports endurance racing and has claimed the last 19 consecutive overall victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Motorsports is an integral part of Michelin’s research and development process, and the specialists who operate out of its Technology Centers in Europe, North America and Asia work hand-in-hand with Michelin’s Motorsports engineers to develop technologies first in racing tires and then carry over the resulting innovations to the company’s street tires.

In addition to the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Michelin races at Le Mans, in major endurance races worldwide, and the FIA World Endurance Championship, FIA Formula E, MotoGP World Championship and FIA World Rally Championship (WRC).

Michelin technical partner teams claimed all 11 GTLM class victories and 33 podium places in the 2016 WeatherTech Championship as Corvette Racing secured the IMSA GTLM Team, Driver and Manufacturer Championships. Michelin technical partners, Chip Ganassi Ford Performance and Risi Competizione Ferrari, combined to sweep the equivalent class podium at the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Michelin produces special editions of its popular publication The Alley for selected distribution at WeatherTech Championship races and it is also available free online to websites, car clubs, media, promoters and race fans at: www.michelinalley.com.

Fans are also invited to follow Michelin through stories, photography and videos at www.michelinalley.com and @michelinalley.
