The annual North American International Auto Show is ongoing in Detroit and IMSA enjoyed a large presence at the first day of the event on Monday, Jan. 14.

Among the highlights were a Michelin Press Conference that involved Scott Clark, the Chairman and President of Michelin North America and Steve Carlisle President of Cadillac. The No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Konica Minolta DPi was part of the Michelin display.

Other cars on display for the day, and for the remainder of the two-week show, included the 2018 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship winner – the No. 31 Whelen Engineering Cadillac and the Acura Team Penske DPi.

Hyundai and Bryan Herta Motorsports unveiled their Veloster N TCR car that will compete in the IMSA Pilot Challenge in 2019.

Among other highlights of the day were IMSA cars being included in the Lexus and Toyota press conferences, a sleeve patch made out of LEGOs in the Ford display and a media tour conducted by driver Eric Curran.
