Anthony Simone and Rodrigo Pflucker have been tabbed as co-drivers of a recently-announced collaboration between Forty7 Motorsports and Alianza Motorsports and will drive the No. 74 Norma M30 in the IMSA Prototype Challenge Presented by Mazda race at Barber Motorsports Park next month.

The duo most recently qualified second at Sebring International Raceway, but a mechanical failure dropped the team to a 17th place finish in the LMP3 class. The No. 47 Forty7 Motorsports entry, meanwhile, started on the pole and finished second.

“I couldn’t have written this script when it came to these drivers, their energy and collaboration together was great to see at Sebring and I can’t wait to see what they produce in Birmingham in April together,” said Alianza co-founder Lorne Kelly. “We are fortunate to be able to collaborate with Forty7 Motorsports in this challenge and look forward to great things together.”

“With the points lead in both drivers and team championship, Forty7 Motorsports has showcased its cars, crew and drivers as a team to contend with at every event,” added Garrett Kletjian, Forty7 Motorsports team principal. "It is most important now to maintain these drivers pairing as I believe they are the strongest in the field. I’m very grateful to Alianza and the support from NIKO to further solidify our combined efforts.”

The entry will be sponsored by Nikola Tesla Unite Ltd., NIKO, the sponsor for the Alianza Motorsports team. It was also announced the collaboration between Forty7 Motorsports and Alianza Motorsports will continue throughout the IMSA Prototype Challenge Presented by Mazda season.
