The Canadian Tire Motorsport Park race will be televised on July 26 at 8 p.m. ET on FS2. Round 5 for the series will take place at VIRginia International Raceway as part of the Michelin GT Challenge race weekend that also will feature the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge.

McCusker, Fischer Deliver Forty7 Motorsports First Victory At CTMP

BOWMANVILLE, Ontario, Canada - Forty7 Motorsports has been knocking on the door of its first IMSA Prototype Challenge Presented by Mazda win throughout the first three races of the season.

At Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on Sunday, Austin McCusker and TJ Fischer kicked that door down delivering a dominant 19.237 second victory in the team’s No. 47 Norma M30 over the series-leading No. 30 Extreme Speed Motorsports Ligier JS P3 of Kris Wright and Yann Clairay.

IMSA Prototype Challenge Presented by Mazda driver TJ Fischer remembers vividly the day he thought his racing career was over.

Racing in the Formula Renault 2.0 series in 2015 on the streets of Pau in France, Fischer – who was diagnosed with asthma as an infant – had an attack while in the car and was unable to breathe for more than 30 seconds each lap.

He managed to finish the race but collapsed after the checkered flag.
