POST-RACE DRIVER QUOTES:

SAM PALEY, No. 26 Southern Paley Motorsports LLC Ford Mustang Dark Horse R (DH) – “The McCumbee McAleer Racing crew gave me a great car. I should have won here back in 2021, and I’ve been waiting to win here ever since. I know exactly what you need to do to win at this track, even though I hadn’t done it. I just went out there and executed it with a great car. We had really good long pace and got lucky with some yellows. It was a really good day. I’m really happy to get my first Mustang Challenge win and the first for the crew as well. I couldn’t be happier. This is exactly what we wanted to do, and we went out there and did it.”

TYLER MAXSON, No. 74 Robert Noaker Racing Ford Mustang Dark Horse R (DH) – “The guys are doing a great job rolling off the truck fast – like normal. We’re struggling a little bit with one-lap pace this weekend, but our long run is good. If we have a greener race tomorrow, I think we’ll have a good shot for the win. It’s a competitive series that’s keeping us on our toes, forcing us to be as good as we have been. We’re finding speed every weekend and continuing to put together good results, which is all we need for the championship.”

ZACHRY LEE, No. 48 McCumbee McAleer Racing Ford Mustang Dark Horse R (DHL) – “I’m very happy with today’s outcome. Everything went exactly my way, and the yellows fell perfectly. I need a half, six-tenths of a second to be able to stay with the kids. Tomorrow, I’m going to try and stay with the kids. I told myself I wouldn’t do any math until after this weekend, but if I can get max points here, I think I can get second the rest of the time – not that I would. I want to win this Legends championship badly. I’ve never won a championship, so trust me, I’ll be doing the math.”

ALEX BACHOURA, No. 33 Spark Performance Ford Mustang Dark Horse R (DHL) – “The car was good, and Spark Performance actually set it up pretty well. We just didn’t get enough time. A couple of cautions helped me get close to Zach, and then we had a double yellow and that’s how the race ended. I think with enough time, I would have been close. But, Zach is really fast this weekend and a hard one to catch. We’ve been here before, battling back-and-forth, so we’ll try to reel him in tomorrow.”

PAOLO SALVATORE, No. 84 Torre Racing Ford Mustang Dark Horse R (DHL) – “My first Mustang Challenge race … wow. I was trying to make the first two races, but my mother passed away. This race is in honor of her. I was hoping to catch that second-place car under those yellows. It was hard for me to get to him at the start. I just kept my composure to place third. It was a lot of fun. That’s why I’m here. I’ve been running Mustangs the past five years. If you look in my garage, that’s all I have. When the Dark Horse R came out, I knew I had to race it.”
