ALTON, Va. – The GT classes had their turn at headlining a race as the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship made the annual voyage to VIRginia International Raceway for the Michelin GT Challenge at VIR.

 

With the Grand Touring Daytona Pro (GTD PRO) and GTD classes having sole possession of the track, everyone was battling for the overall win on the 17-turn, 3.27-mile road course.

 

Joining the WeatherTech Championship at VIR were the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge, Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin and HSR NASCAR Classic Presented by Petty’s Garage.
