Bartone Bros. Racing with Getspeed Mercedes Confirmed for Rolex 24 GTD PRO Entry

Team and Driver Anthony Bartone Will Make Series Debut at Daytona in January

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A team and driver new to the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship has its entry confirmed for January’s Rolex 24 At Daytona. The No. 69 Bartone Bros. Racing with Getspeed Mercedes-AMG GT3 will compete in the Grand Touring Daytona Pro (GTD PRO) class, with Anthony Bartone listed as a driver.

Bartone’s family has a long history in drag racing, where his father and uncle competed and formed Bartone Bros. Racing. The team was just crowned the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Top Alcohol Funny Car champion for 2024.

Anthony Bartone chose to pursue a career in sports car racing under the tutelage of former IMSA racer Andy Pilgrim. Bartone has partnered with Getspeed the past two seasons in a number of other series but will make his WeatherTech Championship debut at Daytona International Speedway in January.

“I’ve dreamed of racing at Daytona since I was young,” Bartone said. “It is something me and my father (Tony) did every year is watch the Rolex 24. It is a full-circle moment for me and my father. It is a huge privilege to be able to drive with Getspeed in their first Rolex 24.”

Based at the Nurburgring in Germany, Getspeed brings a wealth of endurance racing championship experience with the Mercedes-AMG brand. Adam Osieka, head of Getspeed, is excited for the challenge that awaits at the Rolex 24.

“After becoming the best Mercedes-AMG customer racing team in 2024, this the next highlight for our team,” Osieka said. “The Rolex 24 is a legendary race and another huge step for Getspeed. Together with Bartone Bros. Racing, Anthony Bartone and Mercedes-AMG factory drivers, we will give our best to showcase our capabilities.”

The remainder of the driver lineup for the No. 69 Mercedes will be named at a later date.
