Czabok-Simpson Motorsport Signs Pair of Drivers for 2025 Season

Gordon Scully, Morgan Burkhard Set to Pilot CSM Porsches

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Czabok-Simpson Motorsport has signed a pair of drivers for the 2025 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season. Gordon Scully, who drove in half of this past season’s races, returns for a full slate in 2025. Joining him on CSM will be Morgan Burkhard, the 19-year-old who signed a three-year deal.

The remainder of the CSM drivers for its two-car Porsche 718 GT4 RS Clubsport lineup will be named later.

Scully, 24, is ready to tackle a full-season schedule after driving in five races in 2024.

“Getting a first taste of IMSA sports car racing this season with the five races we did just confirmed to me I was in the right place,” he said. “The team have made the transition so easy for me and we are all hungry for success. I don’t think people realize just how competitive the Michelin Pilot Challenge championship is, which obviously makes it even more fun to compete there. We were right in contention on a number of occasions in 2024, and I think we showed a lot of potential in running up front in several races, so for sure we will have a lot of momentum for the 2025 season.”

CSM co-owner Stephen Simpson believes Scully’s experience this past season will prove beneficial for the upcoming campaign.

“Gordon was very competitive in the races he did with us in our maiden 2024 season in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge championship, especially considering that a lot of the tracks were new for him and this was the first time he drove a GT style race car. So, we are really looking forward to have him back with us in 2025.”

Burkhard makes the move to the Grand Sport (GS) class with CSM after competing in the Touring Car (TCR) class in 2024 with Victor Gonzalez Racing Team, where he finished ninth in the driver standings with a best finish of second at VIRginia International Raceway.

“To have this opportunity at 19 years old, and so early in my career, is truly a dream come true,” said Burkhard. “Driving a Porsche in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge is something I’ve dreamed of since I first watched the 24 Hours of Daytona as a kid. To now be part of a program with Czabok-Simpson Motorsport, a team that shares my passion for excellence and competition, feels surreal.”

Team co-owner Simpson is just excited as his new driver about the relationship.

“Morgan embodies the qualities we value most in a driver: raw talent, unrelenting drive and a level of maturity that exceeds his years,” Simpson said. “He’s already proven himself capable of competing with the best, and we believe this is just the beginning of what he can achieve. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the CSM family and look forward to building something special together. Our focus is to deliver strong results on the track, starting with Daytona, and to support Morgan as he continues to grow as a professional.”

Michelin Pilot Challenge teams will be able to test during the Roar Before the Rolex 24 from Jan. 17-19 at Daytona International Speedway. The season-opening race, the BMW M Endurance Challenge, takes place on Friday, Jan. 24 on the 3.56-mile Daytona road course.
