After Road America Debut, Team Building for Full Season
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Team Tonis has joined the 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship grid fully with its No. 61 ORECA LMP2 07 in the Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2) class.
Estonian Tonis Kasemets has been a regular in North American sports car and open-wheel racing for more than two decades, and brings his Team Tonis operation into an expanded, full-time role in the 2026 LMP2 season. Kasemets and Matthew Brabham drove in the team’s toe-in-the-water effort at Road America in 2025, leading four laps and finishing 10th.
While Kasemets figures to be in the lineup, formal confirmation of the team’s drivers will come at a later date.
