IMSA and Motul Announce Multiyear Partnership Extension

Official Lubricant, Proud Partner and Entitlement Sponsor of Motul Pole Awards, Motul Petit Le Mans Renewed Through End of Decade

BRASELTON, Ga. – A highlight of Thursday’s annual IMSA State of the Sport presentation was confirmation by Motul, French global leader in high-performance lubricants, and IMSA of a multiyear extension of their longstanding partnership.

Motul will continue as “Official Motor Oil” and “Official Lubricant Partner” of IMSA, the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. Pole-winning drivers in all WeatherTech Championship and Michelin Pilot Challenge qualifying sessions also will continue to receive Motul Pole Awards. In addition, Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta announced that Motul will continue as the entitlement sponsor of Motul Petit Le Mans.

“Our partnership with Motul is built on a shared passion for motorsports and a relentless pursuit of excellence,” said IMSA President John Doonan. “Since the beginning of our partnership in 2017, Motul has become an integral part of the IMSA family, supporting our teams, manufacturers and events while helping elevate the fan experience. We are excited to extend this relationship and continue writing the next chapter together.”

“Extending our partnership with IMSA strengthens the relationship we have built since 2017 and supports our ambitions in North America, said Guillaume Pailleret, CEO Americas, Motul. It is also the extension of our endurance journey that began in France, with our presence at the 24 Hours of Le Mans since 1954 and decades spent supporting competitors while using the race as a laboratory to test and validate our fluids in the most severe conditions. This heritage is not separate from our work in North America; it is expressed through it. From Le Mans in France to Motul Petit Le Mans, endurance connects our history, our expertise and our ambitions for the future.”
