Skeen Steps Into KohR Ford for Rest of Michelin Pilot Challenge Season
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – KohR Motorsports has swapped the full-season lineup in its No. 60 Ford Mustang GT4 with Mike Skeen now alongside Evan Slater for the rest of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season, starting with this weekend’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 4 Hours of Mid-Ohio.
Per the team:
“We are pleased to announce @mikeskeenracing is back with our Ford Racing Sports Car Team, KohR Motorsports. “Looking forward to having Mike back in the car. He is a great talent. We are looking forward to seeing what the two of them can do in our Ford Mustang GT4,”said Dean Martin, Team Principal of KohR Motorsports.
“I am really looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of the No.60 KohR Motorsports Ford Mustang GT4 next week. I had a blast with the guys at Daytona in January, even though we didn’t get the results that we were hoping for, but I am looking forward to some good racing with these guys in Ohio. I’ve had a lot of success there in the past and hope to get another good result,” said Mike Skeen.
Evan Slater said, “I’m excited to be finishing the year out with Mike Skeen in the No. 60 KohR Motorsports Ford Mustang GT4! When Ray [Mason] told me he wanted to shift his focus, I knew right away who to call as my preferred co-driver. Mike and I have raced against each other for the past few years, and had a great time together in the No. 60 Ford Mustang GT4 at Daytona. I’m still so thankful to Ray for supporting this effort and helping me achieve my goals in racing!”
“It is my pleasure to turn my seat in the KohR Motorsports No. 60 Ford Mustang GT4 over to Mike Skeen in order to showcase the talents of Evan Slater and put our team in the best position,” said Ray Mason, co-driver and owner of the No. 60 Ford Mustang GT4.
