Rockwell Autosport Development Transitions to Hyundai Elantra N TCR

BROWNSBURG, Ind. – Rockwell Autosport Development will transition to the Hyundai Elantra N TCR platform, entering the final two rounds of the 2025 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and beyond. This strategic move marks a new chapter for the team as it aligns with Hyundai’s proven TCR program and begins a technical partnership with Bryan Herta Autosport (BHA) through their industry-leading customer support program.

After evaluating several options for the next evolution of its TCR campaign, Rockwell Autosport Development selected the Hyundai Elantra N TCR for its competitive performance, strong reliability record, and extensive factory support. Proven to be dominant in performance and reliability, the Elantra N TCR car has won five IMSA titles since making its TCR debut in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge in 2021. The team will debut the No. 10 Elantra N TCR with drivers Alex Rockwell and Christina Lam at the penultimate round of the 2025 IMPC season next week on the road course at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, bringing a renewed focus and energy to the championship fight.

Led by Alex Rockwell, his team has been a fixture, racing for wins and podiums in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge since 2021. ” We decided to make this mid-season move, having seen the kind of manufacturer support Hyundai and BHA provide in the Michelin Pilot paddock. In addition, over the last several years, Elantra has proven to be a very reliable and capable platform. When you put it all together, this move was an easy decision. I am looking forward to growing this partnership and the next chapter for our team.”

As part of the BHA customer support program, Rockwell Autosport Development will gain access to engineering resources and a dedicated parts supply program, helping to streamline the learning curve and maximize on-track performance. “Rockwell Autosport Development has proven to be a passionate and competitive team in the IMSA paddock, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to the Hyundai TCR program,” said Bryan Herta. “We look forward to supporting their continued success.”

With a new platform and strengthened support, Rockwell Autosport Development is setting its sights on a strong finish to the 2025 season and a full campaign with the Hyundai Elantra N TCR in 2026.
