Roxy Returns: Rexy’s Prehistoric Pink Sister to Take Over at Road America

Pink Dinosaur Livery Will Grace No. 77 AO Racing Porsche for at Least Two Races

Roxy, the fierce but adorable T-Rex sister of Rexy, the No. 77 AO Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R, will return to the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship beginning with the IMSA SportsCar Weekend at Road America, Aug. 2-4. While Rexy enjoys a summer vacation, his sister will take over for the upcoming rounds of the championship.

“Rexy” is the name given to the popular green dinosaur livery that the No. 77 Porsche has carried all of the 2024 season thus far in the GT Daytona Pro (GTD PRO) class, where it’s perched atop the standings with drivers Sebastian Priaulx and Laurin Heinrich. The car will carry the “Roxy” pink dinosaur livery for the Road America weekend and again for the Michelin GT Challenge at VIRginia International Raceway from Aug. 23-25.

“Rexy has had a very successful move up to the GTD PRO category and has been training and racing his little arms off, so we decided to give him a little R&R,” said team principal Gunnar Jeannette. “Roxy has been chomping at the bit for her first GTD PRO appearance to help her brother out with the 2024 championship. We know Roxy has a lot of fans, so we hope everyone will follow along closely for her reappearance in IMSA.”

Roxy first made her appearance last year in the GT Daytona (GTD) class at VIR. She takes over for at least the next two races for Rexy, whose livery has made its way to victory lane twice this season. While Rexy proudly displays two gold teeth for his victories on the livery’s smile across the front grille, Roxy aims to earn her own golden accolades to enhance her winning smile.

The No. 77’s liveries for the final two races of the season are yet to be determined.
