The No. 1 and No. 48 BMW M4 GT3 EVOs Will Mark Team’s First Two-Car IMSA Effort
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Paul Miller Racing is hoping 2025 will be twice as nice, as the team has been confirmed to enter two BMW M4 GT3 EVO machines in the Grand Touring Daytona Pro (GTD PRO) class of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
The iHeartRadio-backed team is in the midst of a successful first year in GTD PRO, with co-drivers Bryan Sellers and Madison Snow currently leading the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup and sitting third in the season-long championship with one round to go.
The season has been highlighted by a stellar win-from-pole at VIRginia International Raceway, as well as podium finishes at the Rolex 24 At Daytona and IMSA SportsCar Weekend at Road America.
Joining the No. 1 BMW for the 2025 season will be a welcome return to the No. 48 for the team. Drivers for both cars have yet to be named.
Paul Miller Racing ran the No. 48 up until the 2021 season, winning the 2018 Grand Touring Daytona (GTD) championship, 2020 Rolex 24 and 2020 IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup.
The No. 1 has been equally successful for the team, locking up the 2022 IMSA WeatherTech Sprint Cup and claiming five victories en route to the 2023 GTD championship.
“This is a pretty momentous day for all of us at the team,” team owner Paul Miller said.
“We’ve been a one-car operation since the team’s formation, but it’s very exciting for everyone to be in a position where we can run two cars – and in the top GT class, no less.
“The relationship with BMW has been a really excellent one and we’re excited to represent the brand with not one, but two incredible new M4 GT3 EVO machines in 2025.”
Team manager Mitchell Simmons added, “2025 will mark a rebirth of Paul Miller Racing. With the addition of another GTD PRO car, we will enter the 2025 season as a two-car Pro effort for the first time in history.
“We would like to thank Andreas Roos (head of BMW M Motorsport) and his amazing crew on both sides of the pond that helped make this happen. And I know this entire team will work hard to bring BMW its first GTD PRO championship.”
“We are delighted that Paul Miller Racing is committing to the BMW M4 GT3 EVO for the upcoming IMSA season and is even expanding its involvement in the GTD PRO category to two cars,” said Björn Lellmann, head of Customer Racing at BMW M Motorsport.
“The team is a true powerhouse in U.S. racing, having won many titles. We at BMW M Motorsport want to make our best possible contribution to ensure that Paul Miller Racing can aim for the title in its second season in the top GTD class.”
“What’s better than one Paul Miller Racing BMW M4 GT3 racing car? Two Paul Miller Racing BMW M4 GT3 racing cars,” added Adam McGregor, BMW of North America Motorsport and Customer Racing manager.
“The 2023 GTD class champions will double BMW’s chances in IMSA’s GTD PRO class in 2025 with two new BMW M4 GT3 EVO racing cars, and we are delighted to support their endeavor in any way possible. Mr. Miller has done a wonderful job representing ‘The Ultimate Driving Machine’ on and off the track and we are looking forward to continuing to grow our relationship.”
