Field, Dillman, Garg and da Costa Will Guide No. 43 ORECA LMP2
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – With a new U.S. team base in Indianapolis, Inter Europol Competition is set for its first full season of IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competition, having previously run in conjunction with an existing team. The Polish-based squad aims to defend its 2024 Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2) championship with the No. 43 ORECA LMP2 07.
Jon Field is the team’s Bronze-rated driver in 2025 and will compete in the full season alongside Gold-rated driver Tom Dillmann, who helped the team win this year’s LMP2 championship. Dillman also finished second in the 2024 European Le Mans Series with Inter Europol Competition.
Bijoy Garg (Silver) will join Field and Dillman for the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup rounds, while António Félix da Costa (Platinum) will race with the team at the season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona next month.
Field, who recently tested with Inter Europol Competition, has a wealth of experience. The American driver has competed in IMSA racing since the late 1990s, compiling 14 race wins. Among his multiple highlights are the 2002 American Le Mans Series title (LMP675 class), second place in the 1000KM Le Lans (2003), and more recently, third position in the 2022 Radical World Finals.
Dillman joined Inter Europol Competition a year ago, and with Kuba Śmiechowski and Nick Boulle, proved consistent and fast in this year’s championship. Finishing every round and qualifying in the top four each time, the team clinched the LMP2 title at the season finale at Motul Petit Le Mans.
Garg took the single-seater route initially in the U.S. before moving to IMSA and the European Le Mans Series in 2023 and 2024, respectively. He claimed the 2023 IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge title in Le Mans Prototype 3 (LMP3) and won the 2024 LMP2 class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Da Costa has raced in both single-seaters and sports cars with tremendous success. He’s a Portuguese karting champion in 2006 and then on to single-seaters where he won in Formula Renault, Formula 3, and Formula E. More recently, the Porsche works driver has combined Formula E with FIA World Endurance Championship to significant effect and will be a valued addition to the team for the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona.
Driver Quotes:
Jon Field: “I’m thrilled to be back racing in the IMSA championship once again … although it’s changed a bit since I last raced in the series. I am pleased to be racing with Inter Europol Competition too. They have a strong pedigree in LMP2 racing, so I feel I am in good hands with them and my co-drivers. Joining the team off the back of their IMSA LMP2 championship win last season, I feel we have a good package to go for that championship win once again. I can’t wait to get started at Daytona.”
Tom Dillmann: “Together, with the team, we discovered the IMSA series and its various nuances last season, and we can start in Daytona with a great deal more knowledge than last year. With new teammates, the goal remains the same; to win a second championship!”
Bijoy Garg: “I’m excited to join Inter Europol Competition for the 2025 IMSA season! The team won the championship last year and has been competitive in everything they’ve raced in. With a year of experience in the LMP2 for me, I’m confident we can challenge for wins and championships this year and continue the team’s great run of success.”
António Félix da Costa: “I’m very happy to get myself a shot at the Daytona 24 Hours. Especially with the championship-winning team from IMSA last year. Inter Europol has accomplished a lot in the last few years, so it’s the perfect place for me to come back into the LMP2 class, and I can’t wait to get started and work with the whole team and my teammates.”
