Mustang Challenge Heads to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca

MONTEREY, Calif. – Mustang Challenge heads to the iconic WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California, May 7 – 9. The dual class championship heats up with the second round of the 2025 season. The weekend paves the way as precursor to the first Le Mans Invitational, a global gathering of Ford Mustang Dark Horse R at the Circuit de la Sarthe in June.

Ford CEO Jim Farley Makes a Return

This year Farley will hop back into the seat of his No. 17 Mustang Dark Horse R with Competition Motors. Participating in the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca round of Mustang Challenge is only Farley’s first stop on the calendar for the series this year, as he also looks to field his Mustang Dark Horse R at the Le Mans Invitational June 13-14.

Jim Farley is no stranger to the race track, especially Laguna Seca. Farley made his competition debut in Mustang Challenge in 2024 at the Mid-Ohio round of the one-make championship.

Rookies on the Rise

Mustang Challenge rookies Devin Anderson and Corbin Collins both put on quite the display of racing prowess during the first round of Mustang Challenge at Sebring International Raceway.

Proving to be fierce competition in the Dark Horse class, will we see the rookies lead the pack and take the fight to current series points leader Robert Noaker?
