TORONTO – Marco Mapelli will miss the next IMSA round at Watkins Glen, the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, due to his Nürburgring 24H commitment.
Stepping in is Scottish GT driver Sandy Mitchell, who will join Andrea Caldarelli.
“It’s fantastic to be joining Pfaff Motorsports for the Six Hours of the Glen. I love racing in IMSA and I’m super excited to be partnering up with Andrea and Pfaff for this event. Watkins Glen is a track I really enjoyed when racing there in (Lamborghini) Super Trofeo North America. I’m looking forward to returning, this time for the main event, and pushing for a top result with the team,” said Mitchell.
“We’re wishing Marco all the best in Germany and look forward to having him back for CTMP,” added GM Steve Bortolotti.
