New Team Name, Same Driver Lineup for No. 13 Corvette Z06 GT3.R
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – With a new team name but the same team members, 13 Motorsports will join the 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship grid with its No. 13 Corvette Z06 GT3.R in Grand Touring Daytona (GTD).
The same trio of Orey Fidani, Matt Bell and Lars Kern have been confirmed as its three drivers. Fidani has won his second consecutive Bob Akin Award as the top-scoring Bronze-rated driver in GTD, securing the entry to the 24 Hours of Le Mans for 2026 that goes with it.
The change here comes with Fidani taking over ownership of the entry previously known as AWA (Andrew Wojteczko Autosport) and rebranding the team to the new 13 Motorsports entry. Wojteczko and the AWA crew will continue to provide the operational and technical support of the program.
“You don’t change a winning team,” said Fidani, who secured the GTD class win at the 2025 Rolex 24 At Daytona with Bell, Kern and Marvin Kirchhoefer.
Longtime engineer Jeff Braun, who will continue with the program, added on Instagram: “We have a new team name. Same people same positions same drivers same car same fun same schedule. Simple to remember. @13_motorsports I am so lucky to be asked back for 2026.”
