LONG BEACH, Calif. – The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship took to the streets of Southern California for the first stop of its back-to-back events in California. This past weekend two classes – Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) and Grand Touring Daytona (GTD) – soaked up the sun and ocean breezes on the 1.968-mile, 11-turn temporary street course.
Rejoining the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach event weekend after a two-year hiatus was Porsche Carrera Cup North America.
