34 Entries Set for Sebring Test Next Week

The next round of the 2017 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship is America’s oldest professional sports car endurance race, the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida set for Saturday, March 18.

And while IMSA competitors are still basking in the glory of a successful season-opening Rolex 24 At Daytona last month, they’re also ready to get back to business. They’ll get that chance the end of next week in a two-day IMSA-sanctioned test at Sebring International Raceway on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 23-24.

Circuit of The Americas Announces Advance Auto Parts Sportscar Showdown On May 5-6

Circuit of The Americas (COTA) today announced a new race to add to its turbo-charged roster of annual events: the Advance Auto Parts Sportscar Showdown, taking place at the award winning circuit on May 5-6, 2017. Advance Auto Parts has also been announced as the title sponsor for the race weekend as part of a multi-year agreement with Circuit of The Americas. Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased at 

Hurley Haywood Named Grand Marshal For 65th Twelve Hours of Sebring

Hurley Haywood has been named Grand Marshal for the 65th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida. Haywood is a two-time overall winner of America’s oldest sports car endurance race, and has 28 career starts at Sebring, more than any other driver. Haywood also has two class wins at Sebring and a total of ten podium finishes.

IMSA Announces Additional Updates To 2017 FOX Sports Television Package

On the heels of a successful 55th Rolex 24 At Daytona, IMSA and FOX Sports announced additional television coverage and schedule updates for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and also released the 2017 Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge television schedule. In addition, IMSA and FOX Sports announced that the IMSA Prototype Challenge Presented by Mazda will have FS2 television coverage throughout the 2017 season.

On the heels of its thrilling victory in last month’s season-opening Rolex 24 At Daytona, the No. 10 Konica Minolta Cadillac DPi-V.R has announced 23-year-old British driver Alex Lynn will join its full-time co-drivers and brothers Ricky and Jordan Taylor for next month’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring and October’s Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta.

After a fierce battle and a well-deserved third place finish in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GT Le Mans class in the 55th Rolex 24 At Daytona, Risi Competizione’s flying Finn Toni Vilander might have deserved a break. The week following the Rolex, however, he flew across the globe to visit New South Wales, Australia – where he competed in and won the Bathurst 12 Hour race on the demanding Mount Panorama circuit.
