The IMSA Prototype Challenge series is a multi-class platform for future IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship drivers and veteran drivers alike. Entering its 15th season, IMSA Prototype Challenge shifts to a single-class, endurance race format in 2020 with six races held on North America’s most premier road courses. The series will continue to feature the global-spec LMP3 prototypes. The endurance format pairs two-drivers per car in a six race season

Both young aspiring drivers and veteran semi-pros have a home in this series, which uses the iconic Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car. Action takes place in both Platinum Cup and Gold Cup, with a Masters Championship for drivers 45 and over also contested in Platinum Cup. Each of eight weekends on North American circuits includes a pair of 45-minute races.

The series provides the perfect first race experience for professional and amateur drivers in the 620-horsepower Huracán Super Trofeo LP 620-2, the first purpose-built race car by Lamborghini.
