The Florida Orchestra To Kick Off Race Week With Free Concert At Sebring International Raceway

The Florida Orchestra is off to the races for its first-ever concert at Sebring International Raceway in March as part of TFO’s state residency program. The free performance kicks off the track’s biggest race week of the year for the 65th Annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida.

Mazda Adds Marino Franchitti to Driver Lineup at Sebring

The Mazda Prototype team has added Marino Franchitti to the driver lineup for the 65th annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. Franchitti will join the No. 70 Castrol Edge/ModSpace Mazda RT24-P alongside full-time drivers Tom Long and Joel Miller. In the No. 55 Soul Red Mazda, IndyCar driver Spencer Pigot will join the full-time duo of Tristan Nunez and Jonathan Bomarito for the sixth time. Mazda has earned 13 class wins at Sebring, but is seeking a first overall victory.

Many of the leading manufacturers set to battle at this year’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida were major players in the same race at Sebring 50 years ago.

34 Entries Set for Sebring Test Next Week

The next round of the 2017 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship is America’s oldest professional sports car endurance race, the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida set for Saturday, March 18.

And while IMSA competitors are still basking in the glory of a successful season-opening Rolex 24 At Daytona last month, they’re also ready to get back to business. They’ll get that chance the end of next week in a two-day IMSA-sanctioned test at Sebring International Raceway on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 23-24.

Circuit of The Americas Announces Advance Auto Parts Sportscar Showdown On May 5-6

Circuit of The Americas (COTA) today announced a new race to add to its turbo-charged roster of annual events: the Advance Auto Parts Sportscar Showdown, taking place at the award winning circuit on May 5-6, 2017. Advance Auto Parts has also been announced as the title sponsor for the race weekend as part of a multi-year agreement with Circuit of The Americas. Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased at www.circuitoftheamericas.com. 

Hurley Haywood Named Grand Marshal For 65th Twelve Hours of Sebring

Hurley Haywood has been named Grand Marshal for the 65th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida. Haywood is a two-time overall winner of America’s oldest sports car endurance race, and has 28 career starts at Sebring, more than any other driver. Haywood also has two class wins at Sebring and a total of ten podium finishes.

IMSA Announces Additional Updates To 2017 FOX Sports Television Package

On the heels of a successful 55th Rolex 24 At Daytona, IMSA and FOX Sports announced additional television coverage and schedule updates for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and also released the 2017 Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge television schedule. In addition, IMSA and FOX Sports announced that the IMSA Prototype Challenge Presented by Mazda will have FS2 television coverage throughout the 2017 season.
