Park Place Motorsports continues its sprint championship hopes on the 14-turn, 4.05-mile Road America course in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin Aug. 2-4 with the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
Park Place Motorsports took the lead in the WeatherTech Sprint Cup along with Meyer Shank Racing at Lime Rock Park. The teams are tied at 116 points making Road America a crucial component of taking the sole lead in the sprint championship. In the overall GTD Championship Points standings, Park Place Motorsports owns third, one point ahead of fourth place and two behind second while the first-place team is well ahead by over 30 points.
Driver and Team Principal Patrick Lindsey rejoins Porsche Works Driver Patrick Long for the two hour and 40-minute fight. The ability of the No. 73 Park Place Porsche 911 GT3 R has made Park Place Motorsports a podium contender in years past. In 2016 and 2017 Park Place Motorsports finished second, Lindsey was leading in 2018 when a Daytona Prototype pushed him off course and into a wall ending the team’s day.

Lindsey and Long get to work Friday, Aug. 2 with two practice sessions. Saturday, Aug. 3 they’ll run one final practice before qualifying the car at 1:35 p.m. CT. Sunday, Aug. 4 is race day at Road America.
