MARK MOTORS RACING LOOKS TO EXTEND WINNING STREAK AT CTMP

Sweeping their last race weekend in Montreal, the Mark Motors Racing team is hoping to build on their success in the third event of the 2019 season.
The team performed very well in their season debut at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, capturing five podium finishes that weekend. Young gun Roman De Angelis leads the series with 133 points and has taken the checkered flag in three straight races.
“I’d just like to start by saying what a performance by the team in Montreal! Nothing is possible without the crew at Mark Motors who blended with Kelly Moss to help me clinchpoints in both the American and Canadian series” said De Angelis. “It was a really important weekend for me, and for it to come off perfect is what I could have only hoped for. I cannot wait for the upcoming back to back weekends with Mark Motors! I really hope we can keep the momentum pushing at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park!”
After two unfortunate situations, Marco Cirone sits not too far behind in sixthplace overall in the Porsche GT3 Cup Canada standings and is looking for clean finishes at CTMP this weekend.
“Always looking forward to racing at our home track. No matter how many times we do it CTMP is always thrilling and exciting. Some of the best races take place this iconic racetrack. We are just hoping for smart clean racing from all competitors as we had suffered yet another DNF in Race 2 Montreal due to contact from behind,” explained Cirone.
“At this point we could have been fighting for the top Platinum position and have a substantial lead in Masters category. We will fight back next weekend and hopefully close the gap on the leaders. Looking forward to it!”–Marco Cirone.
The Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama will race twice during this weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsports Parkin Bowmanville.
