Ferrari Challenge North America Announces Revised 2020 Schedule

Ferrari Challenge North America competitors can start marking their calendars, as the updated 2020 schedule for the single-make series has been released.

Drivers and teams gain an additional event following the restructuring, as the previous schedule planned for five weekends and the updated schedule now includes six.

Ferrari Challenge North America completed two doubleheader weekends prior to the suspension of racing activities, the first being at Daytona International Speedway in January during the Rolex 24 At Daytona weekend and the second at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in early March.

At each of the four upcoming events in North America, the weekend will feature two, 30-minute races with all cars converted to the new Ferrari 488 Evo package that was rolled out after the two rounds at Daytona. Additionally, the series has allocated two test days the day before on-track activity begins.

Ferrari Challenge North America resumes its season at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 24-26. This stop on the calendar had previously been planned for late April.

The newly added event for 2020 features a trip to Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas slightly more than one month after racing at The Brickyard. The date for this doubleheader weekend is Aug. 28-30.

Ferrari Challenge North America then will get the opportunity to compete at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in scenic Monterey, California once again. Originally scheduled for July, the weekend will now be held on Sept. 25-27.

To conclude the North America portion of the schedule, the last stop for the series will be Watkins Glen International in New York’s Finger Lakes region on Oct. 9-11.

This year’s Finali Mondiali featuring Ferrari Challenge competitors from across the globe will wrap up the 2020 season at Yas Marina Circuit, the location of the Formula One Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
