MLT Motorsports Takes on VIR

MLT Motorsports returns to the track this weekend for the Michelin GT Challenge at Virginia International Raceway Sunday, August 23. Dakota Dickerson and Dominic Cicero will once again share driving duties in the Ligier JS P3 car in the IMSA Prototype Challenge. Sitting in second place overall in the team championship, the team looks to close the 2-point gap to first with a strong run through the rolling hills of Virginia.

Dickerson also sits in 2nd place in the drivers’ championship, so a strong run this weekend is a must.

“I missed this round of the series last year due to a scheduling conflict, but know the team performed really well here,” said Dickerson. “Dominic and I have been working well together since he joined us in Sebring, so I am really looking forward to this weekend. Strong drivers plus a strong team usually mean good things for a race weekend so I can’t wait for Sunday.”

Dean Baker, who normally pairs with Dickerson, is still dealing with travel restriction to and from Canada due to COVID-19, but the team is hopeful he will be able to return to driving in the near future.

This weekend’s race is Sunday at 9:35 am EDT and is available to watch live on NBC’s TrackPass and NBC Sports Gold, and will be re-broadcast on NBCSN in the coming weeks.
