Ferrari Challenge Decides Champs at World Final in Italy

Mugello Circuit Hosts Closing North American Round and Finali Mondiali

 

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Ferrari Challenge North America (FCNA) crowned its 2021 season champions and placed several podium finishers in the world finals (Finali Mondiali) over the weekend in competition at Mugello, Italy.

 

Cooper MacNeil (Ferrari of Westlake), who had previously wrapped up the North American title in the top class, Trofeo Pirelli, finished third in Sunday’s world finals race in competition with Ferrari Challenge Europe drivers. Christian Potolicchio (Ferrari of Central Florida) finished second in the Trofeo Pirelli Am world final.

 

Brian Davis (Ferrari of Palm Beach) held on to win the North American Trofeo Pirelli Am-2 championship by finishing first and third in the two FCNA races earlier in the weekend. Todd Coleman (Ferrari of Denver) won both FCNA Coppa Shell races to secure the championship in that class, then went on to place second in the Coppa Shell world final race. John Cervini (Ferrari of Ontario) won both FCNA Coppa Shell Am races to run his victory total to eight this year and seal the class crown.

 

The 2022 Ferrari Challenge North America season opens March 2-6 at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas.
