ELKHART LAKE, Wis. – Both the weather and the Ferrari Challenge North America race results were unpredictable on Saturday at Road America.
Yet the winners conquered mixed conditions during the series’ penultimate round of 2026.
Trofeo Pirelli. Johnny Kaminskey (Ferrari of Long Island) is not leaving his championship aspirations to chance, starting his weekend with a pole position and a Race 1 win on Saturday.
Kaminskey led the Trofeo Pirelli field from start to finish, and the 30-minute race would end under a full-course caution. Roberto Perrina (Ferrari of Seattle) placed second to add another podium this season and David Musial Jr. (Ferrari Lake Forest) celebrated third place for the Illinois-based crew.
Making it a team sweep was Joseph Rubbo (Ferrari of Long Island), winning in Trofeo Pirelli Am for the first time this year.
Rubbo is contesting a partial season, and attention has been on the narrow championship gap between Mitchell Green (Ferrari Westlake) and Yahn Bernier (Ferrari of Seattle). The pair wound up fifth and sixth on Saturday, with Michael Porter (Ferrari of Seattle) and Martin Burrowes (Ferrari Quebec) completing the class podium ahead of Sunday’s race.
Coppa Shell. Charlie Menard (Twin Cities Performance) continues his dominance in Coppa Shell, winning his sixth race in seven outings during Race 1 on Saturday.
Menard ran uncontested with Louis Flory (Ferrari of Houston) and championship leader Blake Rosser (Ferrari of San Diego) in second and third place, respectively. Menard made significant gains in the title standings prior to Race 2, but Finali Mondiali remains in November.
Melissa Kozyra (Ferrari of Naples) won her fourth race of the year to extend her Coppa Shell Am championship lead, yet the battle for the remaining podium spots were decided at the last moment.
Only a nose separated Kozyra’s teammate, Jamie Garrett, from Tim Duit (Ferrari Dallas), and the two battled after a restart with seven minutes remaining. At the checkered flag, the differential was .595 seconds.
It was the second time the female duo finished 1-2 this season, following a historic run at Sebring International Raceway in April.
Sunday Schedule. Sunday’s activities at Road America begin with qualifying at 9:30 a.m. CT (10:30 a.m. ET), prior to the final races of the event. The Trofeo Pirelli race goes green at 2 p.m., followed by Coppa Shell at 3 p.m.
