Braselton, Ga. With one round and two races remaining, Tyler Maxson (TOPP Racing) has a promising season finale in view after dominating Round 6 at Road Atlanta. He scored two victories at his hometown track to secure the most possible points in the Porsche Carrera Cup North America Mobil Pro class during the penultimate race weekend.

Marco Cirone (ACI Motorsports) topped the Solairus Aviation Masters class with his Porsche 911 Cup to lock down the class title with one round remaining in the 2026 season.

Maxson leads the Pro class by 27 points with only the doubleheader at Circuit of the Americas remaining.

Race 1. Thursday, October 1.
Maxson, the Mobil Pro Class championship leader, claimed all possible points in Thursday’s race. Beginning with the Race Brew Pole in Thursday morning’s qualifying session, Maxson’s No. 77 TOPP Racing Porsche 911 Cup also turned the quickest lap of the race on his way to an 8.166-second victory.

The win and the bonus points for both the pole position and the fastest race lap maximized his points haul.

“It’s always fun to win at home,” he said. “I love this race track. Especially in this fashion in front of friends and family.”

That proved valuable based on what was going on behind him. Janne Stiak (ACI Motorsports) drove his No. 40 Porsche 911 Cup around the outside of the opening turn to move from fourth on the grid to second place, around both Callum Hedge (JDX Racing) and Aaron Jeansonne (Kellymoss).

Stiak began to fade late in the race in the heat of the day and no full course caution periods, with Hedge and then Jeansonne closing in on him. Stiak held off Hedge for several laps, but Jeansonne saw the opportunity with just over five minutes to go and moved around both Hedge and then Stiak on the same lap. Hedge moved his No. 9 Porsche 911 Cup around Stiak just a few corners later as Stiak was assessed a 10-second post-race penalty from race control for blocking.

Maxson was uncatchable as he crossed the finish line ahead of Jeansonne and Hedge. Jared Thomas (JTR Motorsports Engineering) and Cole Kleck (TOPP Racing) completed the top five, while Stiak’s penalty dropped him to seventh.

ACI Motorsports driver Patrick Mulcahy once again found himself atop the Solairus Aviation Pro-Am class. The already crowned class champion finished 12th overall.

Marco Cirone strengthened his Solairus Aviation Masters championship lead on Thursday, converting the Race Brew Pole into a hard-fought victory at Road Atlanta.

Cirone established control early aboard his No. 88 ACI Motorsports Porsche 911 Cup, while the battle behind him quickly became one of the closest contests on track. ACI Motorsports teammate Richard Edge settled into second place, with JTR Motorsports Engineering’s Rob Walker and Ruckus Racing driver Scott Blind fighting their way into contention.

Blind’s charge was particularly impressive after the championship contender started from the rear of the field following a technical infraction after qualifying. He worked steadily through traffic and joined the battle for the podium as the race progressed. His opportunity arrived on lap 16 when Walker attempted to move around Edge for second place. The two drivers ran side by side until Walker dropped a wheel off the racing surface, allowing Blind to slip through into third.

Cirone maintained a small but crucial advantage while the fight behind him intensified. Edge gradually reduced a nearly two-second gap during the closing laps and began applying pressure to the race leader while simultaneously defending from the charging Walker and Blind. Cirone ultimately ran a mistake-free race to the checkered flag, securing a 0.464-second victory. Following post-race review, Edge was assessed a 10-second penalty, promoting Blind to second place and Walker’s No. 53 JTR Motorsports Engineering Porsche 911 Cup to third.

Race 2. Friday, October 2.
Porsche Motorsport North America Junior Driver Maxson and TOPP Racing earned a win with the No. 77 Porsche 911 Cup on Friday to match Thursday’s victory at the point leader’s home track.

Maxson started on the Race Brew Pole and pulled away at the start to get a jump on the field and then lead all 29 green-flag laps of the 40-minute race. Maxson turned the quickest lap of the race on lap seven for an additional bonus point and crossed the finish line 5.020 seconds in front of Aaron Jeansonne, his nearest championship rival.

“What a weekend,” Maxson said. “TOPP Racing doing what they do best, keeping this car on top. Double pole, double race win, just about everything we could have asked for on this weekend. It was a great points week and it comes down to COTA. Our full focus is there and we feel really, really confident. All thanks goes to the team, these guys do such a great job.”

Kellymoss driver Jeansonne moved from third on the grid to second at the start, following Maxson and moving around second-starting Callum Hedge (JDX Racing). Once clear, Jeansonne ran a lonely race in his No. 24 Kellymoss Porsche 911 Cup, unable to catch Maxson but crossing the finish line more than three seconds ahead of Hedge. Jeansonne’s runner-up finish was his 12th podium of the 14-race season. With his third-place finish on Friday, Hedge can now claim nine podium finishes times in 2026.

Janne Stiak (ACI Motorsports) and Jared Thomas (JTR Motorsports Engineering) swapped positions multiple times in the race, with Stiak finishing fourth and Thomas completing the top five.

Patrick Mulcahy of ACI Motorsports kept his season-long Solairus Aviation Pro-Am class win streak alive with a victory on Friday at Road Atlanta in the No. 54 Porsche 911 Cup.

Marco Cirone’s win clinched his first Porsche Carrera Cup North America title in the Solairus Aviation Masters class, handing ACI Motorsports their second class title of the 2026 season.

Cirone and his No. 88 Porsche 911 Cup got the jump on his class field and stayed in front. He pressured Mulcahy in a multi-class battle before sneaking past him on lap 13, then gapped his fellow Masters class rivals to win by 1.5 seconds over Rob Walker.

The Toronto-native is a long-time Porsche single-make racer, but the Solairus Pro-Am championship is his first in Porsche Carrera Cup North America.

“The car was totally different from yesterday,” Cirone said. “The ACI team did an incredible change of balance. I put it on high gear and it just did everything I wanted it to. I was able to stay consistent, we were able to stay ahead of the competition, and I’m very grateful for that wonderful car.”

Walker and Scott Blind (Ruckus Racing) completed the podium. Richard Edge (ACI Motorsports) finished fourth after a battle with Joel Johnson (JDX Racing) when Johnson was penalized 10 seconds post-race for incident responsibility.
